May I crack cat and join blacki ๐Ÿ’ฏ

But muje sirf gap years ka darr hai Agar cat me 99+ aa bi gye to interview me reject na ho jau ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

Inteerview se mat daro. Just think of it as a simple conversation between the panel and you
They are not there to judge you or criticise you. They want to genuinely listen to your story and your background
All my interviews were very chill and if you present yourself well, gap years would not matter

Easily aa sakti hain. I started around last week of May and still was able to make it. You can also do it. All the best!

Ok bhaiya kya aap muje 99+ lane ki koi strategy bta skte hai ?

    Haa bilkul
Focus on strengthening your basics in all three sections โ€” especially Quant if itโ€™s a weaker area.
Make VARC your scoring section by reading daily and practicing RCs and verbal logic regularly. MAke a habit of reading newspaper editorials.
DILR is all about practice and smart set selection, so work on puzzles and previous CAT sets. This helps a lot
Start taking mocks by early July, and analyze each one deeply โ€” learn where you're going wrong and how to improve your speed and accuracy.
Stay consistent with 2โ€“3 hours of focused prep daily. With the right strategy and mindset, a 99+ percentile is completely achievable

  • Thanku didi for guiding me, Can u please give me a strategy for cat for scoring 99+ as I am from non engineering backgroundย

I would advice you to give a mock first. Analyze which is your weak area and start preparing for CAT 2025.ย
There is no one strategy for scoring 99+. I'd say be consistent in your preparation. Work more on the sections you feel you are weak at. Start giving mocks from August and do a complete mock analysis (very important). You might see several highs and lows in the journey. Just never give up. All the best!

Thanku didi for guiding me, Can u please give me a strategy for cat for scoring 99+ as I am from non engineering backgroundย

Absolutely! Many non-engineers crack CAT with 99+ by playing to their strengths. Focus on mastering VARC and DILR โ€” these are often strong areas for non-engineers. Build a solid foundation in Quant, especially Arithmetic and Algebra. Start mocks early, and analyze each one deeply to improve strategy and time management.
Remember one thing- consistency, not background, decides your CAT score. Stay focused, and 99+ is very much within reach

Hi Ayush Bhaiya and Tejaswini Didi, My Name Is Raman Gupta, And I scored 96% in 10th and 92% in 12th and 80% in B.Com from local tier 3 college in my city, I completed my graduation in August 2023 and if I give CAT in 2025 and got admission in 2026, so 3+ gap years are there,

I worked as a freelancer in property registries from July 2023 till now but it will not be counted as work ex

    Should I give CAT ?

    I am from a small city in J&K ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

Hey Raman!! Yes, you should definitely consider giving CAT. And gap year wouldn't matter much. You can justify it in the interviews. But right now, the focus should be on scoring 99%le and rest other things will fall in place, trust me! All the best!ย

  • Hi Piyush!! Good to know that you prepared for IPMAT. It's okay. Sometimes things don't work the way we want in life. Given your scores in 10th and 12th, you still have a very good chances of landing in a good B-School. Aim for Top 30 only. All you have to do is to prepare for CAT and OMETS 2025 and you have ample time for the same as you already have an understanding of the topics through your preparation for IPMAT. All the best!ย

Absolutely. Iโ€™ve seen people from tier-3 colleges and average academics make it to IIMs โ€” including IIM Calcutta. What matters most is how well you prepare for CAT and how you present your story in the interview. Your background doesnโ€™t limit youย
